03.13.1987 Summoner • Male- born in farjoy - father (ren) is japanese, mother (erika/rikki) is italian. they helped eachother learn english & thats how they met - Ren works as a road train delivery driver, often delivering stuff over the canadian border. he is physically and emotionally distant - Rikki is the receptionist of the local paper, she blames david for her stagnancy in life. this blame converts into physical abuse. - has undiagnosed autism, has lots of trouble making or keeping friends. - elementary & middle school are largely uneventful, he’s emo and cringe. - once in high school, he meets Kathy, the only openly gay person in the school. She’s the first person he ever comes out as gay to - they’re instantly best friends - they share a math class with Staci, a popular preppy guy who’s on the schools hockey’s team - they bond before & after class, staci soon joins the friend group. a spectacle among the weird emos. - david’s grades go from barely passing to completely failing in 11th grade - he gets heavily involved in weed & online forums. his fixation on the supernatural taking over his school life - david drops out of high school in the middle of 11th grade - becomes completely addicted to the internet -meets up with the owner of one of his supernatural forums, this one about finding and hunting dangerous demonic creatures. - david immediately regrets it, seeing them kill a demon who looked completely human - he drops communihis friends, being forced to partake in demon hunts with vincent - on one particular hunt, a human demon grabs david and uses him as a shield from vincent - david, fearing his life and being the closest he’s ever been to a murder- has a panic attack and flees - he leaves the forum and all relating to it. his curiosity unsatisfied he looks into demon summoning - david summons abraxas
- born in Farjoy - parents are both from rich families, his father (William) owning a large portion of Farjoy’s properties - His older brother (Franklin) was always regarded higher than Joel as heir of the family, this was the cause of neglect toward him - he was given whatever he wanted as to not bother his parents, he had everything, but never got so much as a loving embrace from his mother, less so his father - as he got older he just wanted them to love him like they did franklin. he had blinded himself to their treatment of his brother and built up these glorified visions of everyone in the family - he wanted nothing more than to rip franklin off that pedestal - being in a small town, joel knew their reputations mattered a lot. especially with joels grandfather (des) having a huge legacy on farjoy. especially with his father working towards being town mayor on top of it all - he knew if he messed up their reputation and legacy he would rip them all from their towers of gold- negative attention from his parents was attention at all - at 16, he started acting out and causing trouble in school. he started smoking to piss off his parents. he’d start fights, steal, run his mouth- anything. - his punishments got increasingly severe, starting off as just a slap, but escalating to punches and strangulation. - William had to consult with his own father to put a stop to it, and he did. He put joel in the hospital, beaten to hell; but framed it as a fight he started and couldn’t finish - Their family name was restored after this, Joel stopped acting out and it was all blamed on his grandfather falling terminally ill. Truth is he had been for a while, they were just saving the card for a situation like this. - After this, joel became the prodigal son. he rectified his poor grades, always being well presented, mirroring his father in working out, even quitting his recent smoking habits. but it wasn’t enough to earn his fathers favour, it never was. - after graduating and turning 18, joel ran away from home to the capital, Pierre. he took up smoking again and started drinking heavily. he couldn’t stand being sober enough to fear his father but also long for his love. - during this time, he met Caitlyn, he’d immediately fallen head over heels for her. - his friendship with her helped him kick his drinking habits and cut down on his smoking, though this time he didn’t quit- he had made a friend, Axel, who also smoked. - the three got along great, all coming from particularly wealthy and reputable families but all knowing the abuse that comes with that. - Joel found the guts to ask Caitlyn out and they went off without a hitch. this was the first time he’d ever received the kind of attention he had longed for his whole life. the first time he’d ever felt loved and supported without question. he was in love. - He wanted a final jab at his parents and the two devised a plan to meet the family. showing up as the perfect upperclass couple, telling his parents ‘i am better without you.’ - unfortunately, the plan failed. he was faced with warm acceptance and support the one time he hadn’t wanted it. he tried his whole life to get them to treat him like family, to truly love him- only to succeed the moment he gives up on it - either way, joel officially moved out, staying in Farjoy this time. naturally, Caitlyn moved in and Axel moved to town as well. - Life was great, joel was surrounded by the people he loved. only having to deal with his family when they hosted parties or anything press related. he even proposed to caitlyn on their 4th anniversary. - Good things don’t last. Caitlyn was diagnosed with stage 3 leukaemia. it wasn’t looking positive. - the couple do their best to live their life past this, Caitlyn even falling pregnant. They were both so excited for a child, things felt pretty normal past her treatments. - Caitlyn takes a sudden turn for the worse, unfortunately passing not long after. - Joel was destroyed. - he was a different man after her passing, he’d lost the primary thing that’d free’d him from his families grip. after the funeral, even his relationship with Axel was lost. he kept pushing him away, both getting aggressive with eachother. - the friendship ended once they had an argument that got physical. - Joel was back to square one. once again that scared and lonely 18 year old longing for the support he was so refused. he started working out more, but as a way to get his emotions out. often injuring himself in the act. - He lived like this for years. working out until his body refused, smoking and drinking, almost completely isolated. his only moment of communication was when he had to visit his family to keep up appearances. - Joels isolation and self destruction are halted when David runs into him, fleeing hunters trying to get to Abraxas.
- born in Jackalope - his mother didn’t want to keep Jason, but his dad did. Jason never met her. - life only got harder as they got poorer. raising a kid was harder than his father thought, especially without help - Jason was often left to his own devices when his father was working - when his dad was home, he was exhausted from work. his temper was already short but with Jason being a delinquent in school, he was always a lit fuse - Jason would constantly misbehave to get attention from anyone he could. as his ‘outbursts’ got worse, the punishments he received got worse too - punishments from his father quickly turned into physical abuse and forced isolation - to escape from this, Jason got involved with drugs in his early teens. he would start with only doing it after school (in parks, carparks, etc) but it wasn’t long until he was doing them at home - his father found out and that was the last straw with their relationship, he was disowned. - Jason unofficially dropped out of school to start dealing, all to earn cash to buy more product. he would smoke weed, drop acid, coke, heroin. anything that’d get him high enough that he could afford. - it was going well until his dad found Jason’s dealing stash at home and immediately kicked him out of home. - being homeless wasn’t all bad for Jason as he crashed at his buyers houses, his dealers houses, etc. anyone who wanted drugs would let him stay for both quick fixes and a discount. - Jason got reckless and was caught by the cops, though he only had a users amount on him so the charge was minimal. he ended up with a slap on the wrist but was dropped off at his dads house. - his dad was in shock of how awful he looked and how much further he’d fallen. he was allowed to stay the night but was immediately kicked back out again. - because he was caught by cops, his sources cut him off and he wasn’t able to deal anymore- also meaning he had no more places to crash and no more money. - he started living on the streets, all cash he was given by passersby went towards any drugs he could afford. - he was approached by Michael, who often targeted the homeless for his commune. Jason was enamoured by the idea of free food and a free place to sleep- initially only joining to abuse the ammenities and leave. - Michael used isolation and ‘detoxification’ (abrupt withdrawal of all drugs) to cure Jason’s addiction. in doing this Jason saw him as his saviour. - learning Jason’s past, Michael abused this newfound faith and started to call him ‘son’. using his familial issues to get Jason to trust him more- it worked incredibly well. - once he was clean of addiction, Jason was immediately a fully devoted member of the church, he worked harder than he ever had to help with the farms, cleaning, preyers, etc. - with Jason’s frequent mania, stemming from undiagnosed mental issues, he would always put others on edge. anyone who stepped out of line or even said anything bad about michael, he immediately took to him for punishment. - during one particular episode, Jason actually hammered nails into his hands and feet, as well slicing under his breast - giving himself stigmata, all to help michael ‘get closer to god’. - tommy found Jason and took him to get medical attention, michael saw this as an opportunity for his church and made him the only non-family member to have a key to the front gates. - Jason now helps michael punish sinners and also help with getting newer members to join.
12.18.1962 Human • MaleMichael Joseph Evans was born. He was conceived 3 months after his mother’s miscarriage. Genevieve Evans was extremely protective of him, added with the trauma of her past birth and being told she was infertile- she believed Michael to be a gift from God. He spent his childhood perceived as a miracle baby by the local church as well as his peers. This gave him an extreme ego and god complex.
